NAPIESV receives grant to launch the first national resource center addressing sexual violence in Asian and Pacific Islander communities

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recently awarded three-year funding to the National Organization of Asians and Pacific Islanders Ending Sexual Violence (NAPIESV), a program under Monsoon Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity, through the Family Violence Prevention and Services Discretionary Grants to establish a national resource center to provide tools and guidance on addressing sexual violence in Asian and Pacific Islander communities.

The Culturally Specific Sexual Assault Capacity Building Centers (CSSAC) grant will specifically support NAPIESV’s project to improve interventions to victims/survivors of sexual violence in Asian and Pacific Islander communities and enhance programming for the prevention of sexual violence in Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the United States, the U.S. territories in the Pacific and Alaska through 1) public awareness and resource advancement; 2) training and technical assistance; 3) research and evaluation; and 4) policy development and system engagement.
